Private Country Residence
AES designed and delivered a complex, high-spec mechanical installation at a large prestigious private residence, tailored to revised architectural designs that introduced four distinct heating mediums across the ground floor.
The project was recognised for its exceptional attention to detail, winning the RIBA Craftsmanship Award 2025
Heating & Controls
- Installed two 20kW Worcester Bosch gas-fired system boilers with future-proof hydrogen-ready capability
- Designed and delivered heating via a combination of underfloor heating, Victorian cast iron radiators, towel rails, and Jaga trench heaters
- Designed separate heating zones on the underfloor heating, Heatmiser Neo thermostats and full smart device integration
Hot Water
- Supplied and installed two 300L high-recovery Joule hot water cylinders
- Installed two horizontal 300L accumulators and a mains booster set to maintain strong flow rates across the property
Plumbing
- Installed high-capacity water softener
- Installed new 32mm water mains to the property
- Supplied and installed all above-ground drainage in Marley dBlue acoustic pipework
- Completed 1st and 2nd fix installation of all sanitaryware
- Integrated hot water loop system to serve extended kitchen and additional sink layout
Ventilation
- Designed and installed a MEV-based ventilation system with constant extraction from bathrooms and boosted operation via moisture detection
- Installed trickle ventilation in rooms without natural airflow
All works were completed with close coordination alongside other trades, with AES making phased visits throughout the project to deliver and refine this complex, multi-system mechanical installation.
